CLUB RADIO
As a few of you guys know we have been having lots of problems with interference getting into the radio at the club. Well we are now happy to announce that this has been resolved and the guys were blasting out all over the world last night. The club has a full size G5RV up on the roof and the radio is now in full swing. This had been a bit of a set back for the club and as you know there is always going to be teething problems when starting these things. The cause was down to certain lights in the club house. The guys have been eliminating things one by one until the problem was pinned down. Well done lads on solving this irritating problem. Ill be taking my camera next week to get some video shots of the radio in action and placing them on the forum.
Hope to see you at the club next week. Anyone having problems finding our club then please contact us on the forum are the comments section on here, I will also have my 2 metre handy tuned into 144.500 mhz on Monday for those that need to get in touch.

09/02/12 FORUM NAME
Changed the name of the forum to WORLDWIDE AMATEUR RADIO SOCIETY FORUM last night, the reason is it was to personal to our club being called Northeast amateur radio society forum and as we want to encourage members from other clubs as well as encourage other clubs to join in I thought it was best to gave it more of a neutral name. This way radio clubs that dont have a chat forum can add a button to there site to redirect there members to our forum, this in turn should gave the forum lots of info from anywhere round the world. So any clubs out there that would like to add a forum to there website please feel free to use ours, any radio amateurs that would like to join us for a chat and share info then please do so, the more forum members we get the better the forum will become. Im open to any other sections that forum members would like me to add. Hope to meet you on the forum.

06/01/12 1ST MEET UP OF THE NEW CLUB
Well the first meet up of our new club is only days away now and I cant wait to actually meet with the guys Ive spoke to on the forum as well as the radio. Ill take my camera along to get a few snaps for you guys that cant make it. I speak to some of you on the radio regularly anyway so know it should be a good laugh.

Well the domain name is connected a bit faster than I thought it would be lol. Couldnt wait lol so all we need now is new members to be at the club on the 9 January see you there.

27/12/11 NEW DOMAIN NAME FOR THIS SITE
Well we have just purchased our new domain name for our site, its the same as the actual title so easy to remember www.northeastamateurradiosociety.co.uk we will be connecting this in a few days time. Dont forget our official start date is on the 9th january upstairs in the Wardles bar and all are welcome. If your interested in amateur radio then please pop along. if you are a member of another club you are still welcome to join us as well. The more the merrier.

NEW UPDATE THE FORUM/LIVE CHAT WILL BE OPEN TO NON MEMBERS
Its been decided that the forum should be open to all so non members as well as new members will be allowed to view and write on the forum as well as use the live chatbox which is a good laugh. Everyone will be able to benefit from this new chat forum as well as advertise there gear. Im still working on the finishing touches but Im sure its going to be a big hit with all radio operators around the North East as well as further afield as all will be made very welcome to this friendly radio forum.
So we are hoping to get plenty of info about events and latest news from everyone to help keep the site upto date, we will have a section for newbies to the world of radio with help regarding exams etc.
There is a technical section as well so everyone can help out with info and projects.
Im open to suggestions for other sections but think I have covered most for now but you will be able to see for yourselves.
Photos can be put on the forum as well as displaying youtube videos so we have alot of things going on and a big learning curve.
Non radio amateurs with a keen interest in getting into the world of radio can ask away on the site regarding all aspects of the licence and whats involved with the exams etc as we have a help section there for you.
So all we need now is to look forward to you joining us in making this radio forum one of the best on line.

NEW UPDATE FORUM/LIVE CHAT
You will see a new tab called forum/live chat, this is for members of the radio club, click on the tab and join, for your user name use your name and call sign so we can identify you or you may be deleted from the forum. The live chat will be deleted from the main site and will have to be used on the forum as this makes it more private. If you have any problems with joining the forum please let me know on the leave a comment section or contact us section. we will get back to you as soon as possible. Also if any members would like me to put there call sign and name on the members list then let me know. We will contiue to add and improve things as we go along. ENJOY

WHATS HAPPENING SO FAR
Hello and welcome to our new website thought we would tell you a bit about us.
We are a new club based in Wardles Bar, Albert St, Hebburn, in the North East of England and we are in the middle of setting up our new site and premises. We will be hoping to set everything up so that we can train and help others to become licenced amateur radio operators and enjoy the hobby as we do in a relaxed and fun atmosphere.
Setting up our own club is all new to us and very exciting. We hope you will want to pop along and we promise you will be made to feel very welcome. Our club and members are so down to earth so no need for you to feel that everything will be so technical and difficult to understand as we promise it wont. You will be allowed to learn as fast or slow as you like, we will help you anyway we can and will always be on hand to answer any questions you have. Most of us are still learning as we go along as well even though we have our licence there is always something new to learn.
Dont just think our club is for learning radio as it will be a very sociable club. You can come along and just have a chat /banter and not all about radio, we have a great laugh and chat about anything.
We love all sorts of communication including cb radio which many of us are still active on the legal UK bands and Im sure this is where most of us started our hobby.
Well thats all for now keep popping back and follow our progress, we will be adding many sections to this site as we go along , we will keep you updated on whats happening in the world of radio as well as what we are up too, we will try to gave as much details as possible on this site. Please be patient whilst we try to get the site the way we want it so a few changes may happen along the way. If you are already a licenced amateur / electronics wizz kid and feel you could help us make this club the best it can be we would love you to pop along and take a look to see if its something you would like to be part of.
